Activities and Programs

The Society meets annually in the Spring and provides a convivial forum for the exchange of ideas and accomplishments in such areas as Data/Knowledge Management; Electronics and Power Systems Health Management; Engineering Solutions for Failure Prevention; Tribology; Gear and Bearing Prognostics and Health Management (PHM); Health Management Strategies; PHM Applications; PHM Techniques; Signal Analysis; Sensors; Distributed Systems Architecture; Failure Prevention for Materials and Structures; and Systems Engineering.  The scope of interest for these meetings covers all areas of industry and government including production, process, utilities, transportation, and military regimes.  A different theme on a timely topic is selected for each meeting. The Society also offers:

The Society members include some of the world’s leading technologists in machinery failure, diagnostics, prognostics and failure analysis, along with prominent representatives of the technology application community.  The MFPT Society is therefore a valuable resource to industry, academia and government for:

This technical assistance is available as a service of the Society through the annual meeting and the activities of its Focus Groups.
